Is Frost a Threat?

With the last few weeks of beautiful, warm weather we thought that spring was in full bloom.  The shops have all these gorgeous flowers that are very tempting to purchase.  So the age old questions is it going to frost again?

No one knows for sure what mother nature is going to do.  All we can do is be prepared for the possibility of frost.  So what are some precautions you can take to protect your garden from frost?

Make sure that you pay attention to the weather channel or your weather app to  see if frost is expected.  You can’t protect your garden if you do not know if it is going to frost.  Next try to bring what plants you can in doors or in the garage so that they will be safe from the weather.

If that is not an option you can cover your garden with tarps to shield your plants from the frost.  Make sure that you secure the tarps on all sides and use as many as you need for the plants.

Good Luck with all your planting and it is said that you don’t have to worry about frost after Good Friday.

I had seen a frost warning on WRAL earlier today warning for this evening/early tomorrow morning, but I’m not seeing the warning anymore. Any idea whether or not we are expecting frost tonight into tomorrow morning? Thanks!
